About the Librarian
My name is Sarah Cross.  I have been the library media specialist at Avoca for nine years.  Prior to becoming the librarian at Avoca, I was the library media specialist at Tennessee Middle School and a classroom teacher at Anderson, Holston View, and Haynesfield.  Please contact me if you have any questions about our library or Accelerated Reader.  You can contact me at [email protected]. 

About our Library Program
Avoca students visit the library one day each week for an hour during special area time.  Various activities are used to engage students such as: reading books, having a visit from a puppet, or engaging students with singing and dancing for movement.  Our main focus is to instill a love of reading in order for students to become voracious readers.
